Ok now bare with me fo a few and hopefully by time your done with this blog were ethier going to agree or agree to disagree, and I can live with that
If a black man convicted of a non violent crime was to try take flying lessons an obtain a pilot license even pre 911 after the background check admission would've been denied, and/or came under serious scrutiny. Most of the inner city youth have been stigmatized and sentenced to what has now become a life time sentence due to the disabilities associated with non violent crime, ''even Martha Stewart is now finding out her sentence is a life long sentence, when she was denied entrance into Britain
What bothers me is all of these non violent offenders are non violent offenders, being alienated from ever being able to fully re acclimate to society, yet a foreigner whom this judicial aristocracy knows nothing bought can reap the benefits of all our ancestors struggles within this country (security clearance for employment, fire arm permits, government funding housing ect)
They can be the biggest sleeper cell there country has to offer yet here in the USA there greeted with open arms!
Never mind rebuilding Iraq we still have disenfranchised black and latino youth rite here in the US that needs to be rebuilt!
I know OBAMA cant do it all but at some point in time he has to prioritize and get all these brothers coming home from prison up and running, not only are they potential tax payers and American citizens there also potential voters! (at completion of sentence) Yet do to their record Mc Donalds wont even hire them, to sweep the parking lot for minimum wage, so what are they pose to do? To Hades with Iraq we at war rite here for basic civil liberties for 90% of the black and latino male population rite here in the US, (You may think this issue dont effect you untill it's your kid bike or your car you return and find missing)

YOU MAKE SENSE! NOW IF WE CAN STIMULATE MORE GREAT MINDS TO RISE TO THEE OCCASION WE CAN BEGAN TO SEE THE HOPE AND CHANGE WITHIN THE INNER CITY THAT HAS BEEN WELL OVER DUE. FREEMASON ONLINE - I gree with everything you say with one major exception. I don't believe that government is the solution. In fact, the opposite is the reality - and the most Obama can do is give the disenfranchise you mentioned a little hope. In my opinion any group of people whether black, white, or other who put their future in the hands of their government can expect nothing more than grave dissapointments - particularly from a capitalist government who is dependent on the taxes of the working class to survive.
I believe the only hope for the disenfranchise is to unite and help one another. Let's take the black community for an example; The combined wealth of the black community alone can make a significant difference towards self-dependency. The number of African American households earning more than $100,000 annually increased to 12.7% or 16.31 million in 2001 alone, up from 11.9% or 14.89 million in 2000. The numbers show a steady increase from 2001 to 2007 to more than 19.8 million. The annual salary of the top 10 African American athletes alone could eliminate black ghetos across the country. Imagine the financial, political, and social power of this community alone if there were a collaboration of wealth from coast to coast. There would be no poverty, no starvation, and little, if any, unemployment among its members.
In my opinion, based on my research - the only hope for Black America is Black America. If we depend on the government for change it will take more than the eight years Obama may have in office. The only thing I want from my government is the assurance of democracy and freedom - I'll take care of the rest.
While I appreciate and respect your thoughts I believe in a different solution to the problem and that solution can only come from the people. Afterall, it was the governments promise of unlimited social programs that trapped the people for generations and they're not about to loosen the ropes anytime soon and if they do it will be a sudden decision leaving the people left with nothing while blaming them for everything wrong in their communities....just as they did after the emancipation.
